And none of his models was more beloved than Bettie Page, the girl-next-door queen of bondage. This outstanding restoration of much of the Klaw film library - with a whole section of stills, too - will delight you. What made Bettie unique was her wonderful combination of innocence and wickedness. You'll recognize almost every script for any B&D film made since the 50's. Moving from primitive sets and camerawork to lush sets and higher quality filming, the collection is a priceless walk down memory lane. Bettie is amazing in her natural delivery of very simple scenarios, mostly tying or being tied up, but sometimes just dancing in her undies. There's a jazzy score and some background commentary, but why not watch it like everyone did at those all-male smokers - silent except for the heavy breathing. 113 min.
